Well, it finally happened, Halloween day arrived!
The girls were so excited that they had to put their costumes on first thing in the morning.
And they practiced trick-or-treating at our door several times to be sure they had the hang of it.
Then we took a short break to carve some pumpkins. They thought this was very exciting, but slightly disgusting and slimy, so they kept a safe distance,
and let Mami do all the work!
The end product: one very happy pumpkin (Resli's) and one very scary pumpkin (Lela's - or at least an attempt to be scary):
Finally evening arrived and we all got ready for trick-or-treating. And we practiced our scary faces.
I kept up the scary look once we got out on to the streets, but they just went for cute. I guess they figured they'd get more candy that way.
They took very good care of each other and held hands walking up to every door. We went to a great neighborhood with tons of decorations and lots of kids and everyone had their lights on and welcomed them.
In all, a very successful outing!

It's hard to look scary with a black mouse nose.
1. Um, did Resli lose a front tooth and no one told me?
2. I'm very glad the Minnie ears made it on for the official trick-or-treating.
3. Nice face, Mami.
4. Did you let them keep/eat their candy?!?
1. Yes, back in August. REGULAR blog followers would have seen the post about it. Ehem.
2. Only briefly.
3. Shut up.
4. One piece a day for dessert after dinner. It will never go away at this point, but soon it will disappear and they won't think of it again.
